Seeing the 2nd Inaugural

You might remember last week I posted a story on the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's 2nd Inaugural Address. Today's followup post is about my trip last week to the Library of Congress to see the actual speech on display - a special exhibition that lasted only from March 4th - 7th. It was quite a thrill. I took a brief video to commemorate the event.

After seeing the speech, we strolled over to the Capitol building to see the big hemorrhoid donut looking thing they've put up inside the rotunda to stabilize things during the restoration work and we poked our heads inside statuary hall to see the latest addition from Arizona - Barry Goldwater.
